About Us

Established in 2013, School Reel has spent more than a decade producing stunning films for schools across all institutions — from comprehensive primaries and secondaries, to independent schools, nurseries and universities. Owner and director, Andrew Mills, spent the first part of his career learning from the best at the BBC and after a few years as a classroom teacher — overseeing GCSE English and media studies — combined both sectors to create School Reel.

Andrew works alongside a team of professionals, each coming with a degree of experience in the educational sector to ensure everyone knows what they’re doing from the moment the school gates open. Through a combination of insider knowledge and first class equipment — from stabilisation rigs to 4K drones — the team work tirelessly to create beautiful films that resonate with audiences long after the premiere. 

Offering both style and substance, School Reel works collaboratively with clients; absorbing their vision and adding engaging and impactful concepts to enhance and complement it. Andrew and his team have an innate understanding of what parents, teachers and pupils want to see. The specialists are able to take their clients’ ideas and transform them into tangible and easily digestible content that can be used for websites, open days, social media posts and more.
